Submission Requirements

Q-BEARS requires the following information to successfully complete your energy assessment rating.

INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR DOMESTIC BUILDINGS

1.

Site plan with a north point (if block has surveyor’s degrees on it, then they will be taken over the north point arrow. All surveying degrees are read clockwise or left to right, some cad programs read anti-clockwise or right to left ‘THIS IS NOT’ surveying practice)

2.

Floor plans ( these must include dimensions of all directions and rooms, window sizes or numbers marked on the plans). If the window sizes are not on the floor plans a window – door schedule MUST be provided.

3.

Elevation plans to all sides or parts of the building/extension.

4.

Sections are optional, (but will help achieve a quicker and better understood result).

5.

Electrical plans, (if the building is claiming ceiling fans to internal areas = higher star ratings, or the QDC MP 4.1 1 star relaxation for dwellings that do not achieve the total 6 star rating, or are on elevated floors “stumps”)

PLUMBING & DRAINAGE DETAILS ONLY – ENGINEERING, STRUCTURAL, PLUMBING, DRAINAGE OR DETAILS (unless part of required plans) – as these are not required for an assessment.

Elevation plans to all sides or parts of the building/extension.

Sectional plans to show all floors and roof construction.

5.

Air-Conditioning specification and plans.

6.

Reverse ceiling plans showing all ceiling lighting, (WATTAGE of these lights ‘MUST’ be shown in a legend on the plans)

PLUMBING & DRAINAGE DETAILS ONLY – ENGINEERING, STRUCTURAL, PLUMBING, DRAINAGE OR DETAILS (unless part of required plans) – as these are not required for an assessment.
